This new feature is based on research on Siggraph in 2008.( if I am correct), called Content-Preserving Warps for 3D Video Stabilization . It has limitation still. But if you plan your shots well, avoid crash pan. You will be amazed by what you get.
The latest research is Subspace Video Stabilization . We may see it for next version of AE?
